Draft Prospects: David, Austria lead Phenom Sports’ Applicants
More promising basketball players have officially applied for the 2025 PBA Draft under Phenom Sports Management, led by agent Anthony Brodett. The group includes standouts from the UAAP, NCAA, and MPBL, each bringing a mix of leadership, experience, and pro-level potential.
Joshua David, the former team captain of the De La Salle Green Archers, enters the draft after completing his UAAP career. Known for his leadership and composure, David played a key role in La Salle’s 2023 finals run, contributing in crucial moments and serving as a steady backcourt presence throughout his tenure.
CJ Austria, also from La Salle, made headlines earlier this year when he left the UAAP to begin his professional career with the Abra Weavers in the MPBL. A three-time UAAP champion and 3×3 MVP, Austria developed a reputation as a defensive anchor and high-IQ player who embraced tough assignments and played with poise beyond his years.
Jake Gaspay, a former star talent from Immaculada Concepcion College, transferred to the College of St. Benilde in 2024. He will finish NCAA Season 101 with CSB before moving to the PBA. Gaspay has continued to show his scoring instincts and ability to perform in big games, showcasing his athletic prowess.
Neil Tolentino turned professional in 2023 after leaving Arellano University, joining the MPBL’s Iloilo squad. He has since emerged as one of the team’s top players and continues to impress with his ability to create offense and pressure defenses in transition.
Mark “Tutoy” Ramirez, a 5-foot-11 guard from Immaculada Concepcion College, was previously named Finals MVP in Deans League Season 3. Known for his quickness and shot-making, Ramirez is regarded as a tough competitor with a scorer’s mindset and confidence in big-game situations.
Justine Guevarra, a 6-foot-5 small forward, is currently playing for Bacolod City of Smiles in the MPBL. A former standout from the grassroots and inter-town scene, Guevarra is known for his athleticism and inside-out game. His size and versatility make him a compelling option at the wing spot.
Deo Cuajao, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Letran, has put up some of the most explosive scoring performances in the NCAA over the past year. He recorded a career-high 34 points in a double-overtime win in October 2024 and remains a focal point for the Letran offense heading into the rest of Season 101, which he will complete before joining the PBA.
Ladis Lepalam, a 6-foot-9 center, is currently playing for the Muntinlupa Cagers in the MPBL after finishing his collegiate stint with CSB. Known for his rebounding and interior presence, Lepalam has posted solid averages and continues to show improvement in mobility and finishing around the rim.
Jun Roque, who was named the NCAA’s Most Improved Player in 2023, rounds out the group. Though not widely publicized, the 6-foot-4 prospect has built a reputation as a hardworking forward with strong fundamentals and a reliable motor, providing solid two-way contributions for his team. He will also finish his upcoming NCAA stint before going to the PBA.
Chris Miller is the final member of the batch. While not much information is available about his background, he has been officially listed as part of this year’s draft class under Phenom Sports, signaling the agency’s continued investment in scouting under-the-radar talent.
With this latest batch of applicants, Phenom Sports Management reinforces its growing role in shaping the next generation of PBA players. Several of these athletes have already tested themselves in high-level competition, while others are primed to make their mark in the pros once their current commitments wrap up.
