Alas Joins Phenom Bluefire for NBTC and Manila Live Tournaments

In an exciting development for Philippine youth basketball, Kieffer Alas, the recently crowned MVP of the UAAP Season 87 High School Boys’ Basketball tournament, is set to join the Phenom Bluefire team for the upcoming 19U NBTC Wild Card and Manila Live tournaments. This move was confirmed by Anthony Brodett, owner of Phenom Championship Clinic and Sports Management, who will also serve as the team’s manager.

Alas will be joined by a talented roster, including his De La Salle-Zobel teammate Ervin Daja, DLSU Green Archers hopeful CJ Amos, University of the East high school standout Dylan Despi, and College of Saint Benilde Blazers recruit Matt Jucom. This diverse lineup brings together some of the most promising young talents in Philippine basketball.

Leading the team is head coach Ogie Ng, known for his extensive experience in coaching youth basketball teams. Assisting him are John Peletos, Joseph Grabiel, Anton Escolin, and Hyram Bagatsing. Adding strategic depth to the coaching staff, De La Salle University assistant coach Oliver Bunyi will serve as a consultant.

The NBTC Wild Card tournament, organized by the National Basketball Training Center, and the Manila Live tournament are both highly anticipated events in the Philippine basketball calendar. These platforms offer young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
