In a move that might catch the attention of basketball fans, 18-year-old CJ Amos will suit up for the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers in the Pinoyliga Next Man Cup tournament.
Amos, a 6’2″ guard, is known for his playmaking and scoring ability. He previously played for Brisbane State High School and was part of the Gilas Pilipinas U16 team, gaining valuable international experience.
CJ is the younger brother of Mason Amos, who made headlines last year when he transferred from Ateneo de Manila University to DLSU. While Mason’s move was officially for personal and career-related reasons, CJ’s stint with the Green Archers in this tournament raises questions about whether he will follow in his brother’s footsteps. However, it’s important to note that CJ has not officially committed to La Salle, and this tournament serves as an opportunity for him to showcase his skills and potentially earn a spot in the Green Archers’ program or another college team.

Regardless, the Pinoyliga Next Man Cup will be an exciting showcase for one of the Philippines’ promising young guards.
