A blue-chip recruit and former UAAP high school standout is set to join the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
According to sources monitoring the situation, Kobe Demisana will depart the Ateneo Blue Eagles and join Nash Racela’s rebuilding program in San Marcelino.
The 6-foot-8 mobile big committed to the Blue Eagles in 2023 following a solid outing with UPIS in the UAAP high school division, where he was named to the Mythical 5 after averaging 17.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 4.1 blocks, 2.6 assists, and 2.1 steals a contest.
He suited up for the Blue Eagles in offseason tournaments prior to UAAP Season 86 but was not lined-up for the team’s men’s basketball roster.
According to Blue Eagles team manager Epok Quimpo, Demisana did not meet Ateneo’s required QPI for student-athletes to be eligible in UAAP competition, which would have put his eligibility in 2024 in jeopardy.
Sources informed ALL-STAR Magazine that the 19-year-old Demisana chose Adamson as his next stop as he feels this is the best place for him to develop as a basketball player. Kobe will have to do one year of residency before playing his first UAAP campaign in 2025.
This is a developing story.
