Lars Fjellvang Transfers from Ateneo to San Beda

Lars Fjellvang has transferred from Ateneo to San Beda after one season with the Blue Eagles, sources told ALL-STAR Magazine.

Fjellvang, a 6-foot-7 Filipino-Norwegian big man, will serve one year of residency before becoming eligible for the Red Lions beginning NCAA Season 103 next year.

He is expected to have four full years of eligibility with San Beda once he completes his residency requirement.

Fjellvang joined Ateneo ahead of UAAP Season 88 after coming from Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, where he was part of the school’s strong championship-winning pipeline alongside Jelo Rota and Alden Cainglet.

The move gives San Beda another young frontcourt piece to develop as the Red Lions continue to build their future roster.

Fjellvang entered Ateneo as one of the Blue Eagles’ long-term big-man prospects, bringing size and strength to a frontcourt that had continued to search for stability after the departure of former UAAP MVP Ange Kouame.

His freshman season with Ateneo gave him an early look at the UAAP level, but his next collegiate chapter will now come in the NCAA under San Beda.

The defending champion Red Lions have long been one of the NCAA’s premier programs and have consistently built around size, structure, and player development in the frontcourt.

Fjellvang’s transfer gives San Beda a developmental big with length, mobility, and multiple years of eligibility, positioning him as a potential long-term piece once he becomes available in Season 103.

No further roster movement has been announced, but Fjellvang’s move marks another notable offseason development in the collegiate basketball landscape.
