MSC 2025: Sanji Expected More from Rosa
Team Liquid Philippines marched into the upper bracket finals of MSC 2025 at the Esports World Cup with a clinical 3-0 win over Aurora Türkiye—yet their post-match tone remained more reserved than triumphant.
Facing midlaner Rosa, once feared for his Selena plays, Team Liquid PH’s Sanji admitted he expected more resistance.
“I did not expect that Rosa would play like that today,” Sanji said. “I know he has more to show. I feel like they were used to having Selena on their draft.”

Coach Arsy echoed that observation and suggested Aurora didn’t fully lean into their best picks.
“Maybe they are very comfortable in Selena and they didn’t show the best heroes they have. They stayed within their comfort picks,” he said, before adding, “I don’t know but I can say that they can still win against us if they used Selena.”

Despite their dominance, Team Liquid isn’t getting ahead of themselves. KarlTzy, who famously won the M2 World Championship at just 16 years old, downplayed the idea of already eyeing the Finals.
“I feel really good but we’ve only just secured the top 4,” KarlTzy said. “We need to do more.”
Earlier, KarlTzy predicted that the MSC 2025 Grand Finals would be an all-Filipino showdown between Team Liquid and ONIC PH. But when informed that K1ngKong expects it to be ONIC PH versus ONIC ID, KarlTzy shrugged.
“It’s his words, so I don’t care.”
With one more win needed to reach the MSC Grand Finals and a shot at the $3 million prize pool, Team Liquid Philippines is keeping their eyes on the grind, and Coach Arsy isn’t rushing to make bold claims.
“I don’t want to say anything for now because I don’t want to be confident because it’s hard to be consistent every day,” he said. “I can say that we need to improve more to beat the other team.”
