Why Did Nathzz Leave MPL-PH in the Middle of Season 14?
RSG Exp Laner Nathanael Estrologo has bid goodbye to MPL Philippines in an emotional video posted by his team on August 27.
“This might be my last journey for now with RSG Philippines because of personal reasons,” Nathzz said. “I hope to see you guys soon, this is not a goodbye, just see you later.”
Prior to the start of the season, members of the media were given access to a data sheet of MPL-PH Season 14, in which Nathzz was not listed among the main five players of RSG. He was listed as the substitute Exp Laner for the team, the first hint of the famed Exp Laner’s eventual departure.
Highly placed sources have confirmed Nathzz has migrated to the U.S. with his family. In a series of cryptic My Day posts on Facebook, Nathzz bid goodbye to the Philippines while showing photos of his passport and plane ticket.
The 17-year-old Exp Laner has yet to confirm whether he would be playing for another team in the North American region of MLBB esports. Technically, Nathzz is still signed with RSG until his contract expires. Nevertheless, Filipino MLBB player Peter Bryce “Basic” Lozano, who last played for U.S. MLBB team Cloud9, reposted Nathzz’s My Day anticipating his arrival in Los Angeles.
According to another highly placed source, there had been plans prior to Season 14 for Nathzz to migrate to the U.S. but it was delayed for some reason. Nathzz leaves a stellar legacy in MPL Philippines as one of the most talented Exp Laners in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, helping RSG Philippines to secure the country’s third MSC title in 2022.
