Philippine Badminton Open accepting applications
The Philippine Badminton Association will host the 2024 Philippine Badminton Open from June 5 until June 11 with a winning price up to Php 120,000 for the winner of each event on the line.
The elimination round and semis will take place on the first six days of the competition at First Pacific Leadership Academy Badminton Center in Rizal followed by the finals at Gameville Ballpark in Mandaluyong.
Interested applicants can register here up to May 19. Open to Filipinos only, the first entry fee is P1,200 while the second entry fee is P1,000. That is per player and per entry inclusive of a free t-shirt, shuttlecock, and court fees.
The events are as follows: men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The top winning prize for the singles’ contests is P100,000 while P120,000 will be the reward for the victors of the doubles’ competitions. Furthermore, the runner-up teams and individuals won’t go home empty-handed.
The scoring system will be best of three games to 21 points. Matches will be broadcasted on Smart Sports, Puso Pilipinas, PBAD, and Cignal.
