A Filipino Sneakerhead’s Guide to NBA’s All-Star Weekend 2025 Releases
The phenomenon of two stars colliding is rare in itself—what more when 26 converge simultaneously? The NBA’s All-Star weekend celebrates the mid-point of the regular season, giving flowers where flowers are due to the league’s best. While it’s a platform for highlighting the Association’s greatness and excellence, it simultaneously functions as a catwalk, showcasing the heat on foot to commemorate the annual gathering.
Just in time for the 2025 San Francisco NBA All-Star Weekend, ALL-STAR Magazine looks at the best pairs that made their way almost 7,000 miles west to a Southeast Asian territory brimming with basketball and sneaker culture.

It’s out of this world (to put it plainly), the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” returns after more than a decade. Boasting a sparkling upper and futuristic persona, its Nike Basketball All-Star “Galaxy Pack” quickly amassed a global following as one of the season’s legendary releases. Retaining its signature glow-in-the-dark outsole, the “Remove Before Flight” pull tabs, and Penny Hardaway’s 1 Cent insignia on its upper, the magic returns while glistening in its original glory.
Nike Basketball ‘Black Label Collection 2025’

via Nike
Price: TBA ($150+)

Accompanying the return of classics with a luxe, limited-edition line, Nike Basketball highlights its premier athletes and silhouettes through the nine-piece “Black Label Collection.” Seven of the brand’s signature models, along with two additional pairs (Nike GT Hustle 3 and the Nike GT Cut 3 Turbo) arrive at Western retailers come the weekend. So far, the Philippines will reportedly receive four of the nine models: the Nike LeBron 22, Nike Giannis Freak 6, Nike Sabrina 2, and the Nike Ja 2—all in limited quantities depending on the athletes’ birth year.
Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘All-Star 2.0’

via Nike
Price: ₱9,495.00 ($190)
SKU: FQ3546-100
Where to cop: Foot Locker Philippines, Nike SNKRS, TITAN
Celebrating one of the greats of the coveted weekend, the Nike Kobe 6 Performance retro (Protro) returns with a sail-dominated, starry-patterned exterior that replaces the signature snakeskin textile. A striking, bold Swoosh slates the top and violet accents culminate this functionally fashionable silhouette. Given its Protro distinction, it integrates updated technologies into the classic icon, making it a must-have for collectors and admirers of the late Kobe Bryant’s legacy.
Jordan 1 Retro High ’85 OG ‘Bred (2025)’

Price: ₱13,895.00 ($250)
SKU: HV6674-067

The most premature release of the list, the Jordan 1 Retro High ’85 OG “Bred (2025)” returned in its “unbannable” glory. Dropping in the Philippines a week before this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend, the classic Jordan 1 was prohibited (actually, it was the Nike Air Ship) due to its infamous color blocking that went against league standards. The “Varsity Red” and “Black” icon reportedly draws the most historical accuracy to the original from its previously released renditions.
Jordan 1 High OG ‘Black Toe Reimagined’

via Nike
Price: ₱9,895.00 ($180)
SKU: DZ5485-106
Where to cop: Atmos Philippines, Foot Locker Philippines, Jordan Manila, Nike Park, Nike SNKRS, TITAN
In recent years, sneakerheads have developed a love-hate relationship with the Jumpman’s reimaginations. In their attempt to resurrect their most mythical silhouettes and colorways, the brand often takes modern spins (or rekindles their original designs and feel) to ignite the flame that once was. The predecessor of the “unbannable” Jordan 1 comes in the form of their “Black Toe” with its original “Black,” “Varsity Red,” and “White” combination, tributing its 1985 original.
This pair, however, sports an “Air Jordan” text on its collar (replacing the traditional “wings” logo), a black tongue, and a sightly-aged-looking midsole—similar to the 2022 Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Chicago Lost and Found.” Other details include Jordan’s signature on the opposite side of the color and a unique shoe box that injects nostalgia with its throwback to the early Air Jordan 1 marketing campaigns.
Reebok Engine A ‘Mobius Re-Boot/Black/Silver’

via Reebok
Price: ₱6,995.00 ($120)
SKU: 8125B1128S-9
Where to cop: Reebok Philippines, Sports Central
Rebook returns to the hardwood with its first official performance challenger since the early 2010s through the Engine A model. Hitting shelves globally last February 13, 2025, the “Black,” “Silver,” and “White” low-top first debut on the toes of Chicago Sky forward, Angel Reese, during the previous WNBA Season. With the public finally receiving a release, the Engine A is said to embody “everything Reebok stands for,” through its innovative leaps and performance enhancements that evidence their dedication to the game.
