Jordan Brand Introduces a New Era of Technology and Innovation With the Air Jordan 41

Jordan Brand has welcomed its newest silhouette in Michael Jordan’s legendary signature line.

Designed by Jumpman’s Creative Director, Leo Chang, and Senior Director of Basketball Footwear, Donald Kelsey, the Air Jordan 41 marks the next generation of style, performance, and innovation, which hails the versatility and style of His Airness himself.

The introduction of the futuristic-like sneaker redefines the evolution of Jordan Brand’s heritage style, carrying a new path to greatness that emphasizes modernity and creativity and pushes through its limits of technology.

Air Jordan 41 Introduces New Performance Technology

Unlike the previous leather-based models, the Air Jordan 41 starts with its first-ever 3D-printed NanoPrint technology in the mesh upper that offers lightweight containment and breathability, a new standard for every hoop shoe nowadays.

Materials engineered for responsive cushioning combine a Full-length Zoom Strobel, a ZoomX foam midsole, and a double-layered Air Zoom heel unit. To cap off its performance features, a Carbon fiber and TPU shank delivers midfoot stability, and a full-length rubber HART herringbone traction pattern supports agile cuts, quick stops, and rapid changes of direction.

Jordan Brand Senior Creative Director of Basketball & Sport Leo Chang explained the decision to move away from the traditional leather upper in favor of nano-printed mesh.

“With the 41, we wanted to create an upper that could move with the athlete and feel lighter without sacrificing the containment and confidence they need to play at their best.”

“The nano-printed mesh allows us to engineer that balance, creating a material that feels light on the foot while providing targeted structure and support where players need it most. It’s a solution that reflects our ongoing pursuit of performance innovation, helping athletes move freely, react instinctively and stay locked into the game from tip-off to the final possession.”

Built for the Next Generation of Jordan Athletes

Numerous athletes have expressed their comments on the shoe, from Michael Jordan himself to the players from its professional and collegiate Jordan Brand roster, as well as young players from the upcoming Nike EYBL.

San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle shared his thoughts about the Air Jordan 41:

“The 41 matches the way I like to compete. It’s built for players who impact the game on both ends,” said Castle.

“I trust it every possession because it keeps me feeling quick, connected and ready to react. When you’re playing with confidence, you can focus on being aggressive and letting your game take over.”

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero also mentioned his insights about the shoe:

“What I love about 41 is that it lets me play my game without thinking about what’s on my feet. It’s light and responsive, and it gives me the confidence to move how I want,” Banchero said.

“When you’re competing at the highest level, those details matter, and the 41 delivers.”

“The Air Jordan 41 is a statement about where Jordan Brand is headed. It carries forward a legacy built on greatness, but it was created for the athletes, whose culture and style of play are defining the future of the game,” said by Jordan Brand President Sarah Mensah.

“This silhouette reflects our commitment to pushing performance innovation with purpose — delivering bold design, elite function and a point of view that only Jordan Brand can bring. It is more than the next Air Jordan. It is a signal of the next chapter of Jordan performance.”

Jordan Heritage Returns Through the Colorways

The shoe also brings nostalgia through gemstone-themed colorways, including the Ruby, which gives a nod to his legendary three-peat titles, and the Opal that pays homage to his alma mater.

The Air Jordan 41 will exclusively launch on August 28 in China. The global launch will be announced soon.
