Everything on Ja Morant’s Newest Signature Shoe (So Far)
The Thunder spoiled Ja Morant and his newest shoe, but that doesn’t deny his acclaim with the success of his line. Regardless of Morant’s “questionable” activity, the Swoosh constantly places its chips, believing in the leaps and bounds of his potential. (Quite literally).
According to the brand, the shoe complements the aerodynamic and shifty play style of Ja Morant, maximizing comfort and support. There’s a certain boldness synonymous with the Grizzlies’ All-Star, being at the forefront of its design process that weaves intentionality and flair that only he can imbue.
“I told the Nike design team I needed something that talks before I even lace it up.“I wanted my third signature shoe to feel like my game and my personality.”
Inspired by the “scratch” skeleton of his earlier models, the pair consists primarily of lightweight mesh and purpose-built perforations that tend to promote breathability, especially during 48-minute contests.
The full-length ZoomX foam, layered over ZoomX scrap material in the midsole, fortifies Morant’s explosive game, subtly residing above the translucent rubber cup sole. Underneath, a new micro-traction pattern is introduced in the outsole, featuring his iconic bulldog crossover combination.
Nike’s Ja 3’s intricacies include a monogram pattern that covers the entirety of the sneaker, paired with a vertical Swoosh that creates a “JA” inscription on the lateral side (possibly inspired by Sabrina?). The inscriptions “A happy Ja is a scary Ja” (Right) and “I’m not even worried about proving them wrong” (Left), alongside his jersey number, rest on the outsoles of the pair that supplement his bold on-court style and his contributions to the flourishing sneaker movement.
“When you put on the Ja 3, I want you to feel fearless,” says Ja. “Like you can go create your own story — on the court, off it. Just be you, loud and proud. That’s what I’m about. No limits, no second-guessing. Just go.”
The Nike Ja 3, which debuted during the Memphis Grizzlies’ first matchup of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, hits local retailers in Fall 2025.
