Kiefer Ravena Reviews His Air Jordan XXXIX x KR15 PE
It is now widely known that Kiefer Ravena is not only the first Filipino athlete to join the coveted Jordan Brand family but also to be given the opportunity of a player-exclusive (PE) pair. The generally released Air Jordan XXXIX embraces the shifty 31-year-old’s game, converging cushioning, and lightweight properties—though this specific pair sports a customized blue-yellow-and-red colorway with Ravena’s branding on the heel.
Around the midway point of his “New City. New House.” vlog, Ravena tackles the process behind his PE. Debuting on the hardwood during his recent birthday, he mentions the possibility of a signature silhouette occurring several months prior, noting that he had to prove himself as a Jordan Brand endorser and earn the opportunity.
“It (PE) has always been the goal that’s why I continue playing hard. I’m very fortunate enough to win a couple of championships this year internationally with the Shiga Lakes in B.League 2 and my SGA (Strong Group Athletics) stint in the Jones Cup.”
He continued, speaking on the design of his logo on the pair, noting that it took some time to be finalized. Apart from the arrow-like shape resembling his initials, it emphasizes his role on the court and “playing with direction or a greater purpose.”
Ravena’s Air Jordan XXXIX x KR15 ‘Philippines’ PE manages a permanent position as his ideal weapon of choice on the court. While a public release is not likely anytime soon, it is now available for viewing at Jordan Manila, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
