Monkey Eagle Brewery Turns 12 With Award-Winning Manggang Hilaw Beer
Monkey Eagle Brewery is celebrating 12 years of Filipino craft beer with a free-entry birthday party at The Rockwell Club in Makati this Saturday, October 17.
Dubbed Monkey Eagle & Friends Year 3: Oktoberfest Edition, the Tagaytay-based microbrewery’s anniversary runs from 2 to 10 PM. It brings together craft beer, food, art, music, and a lineup of independent local brands.
The headliner this year comes in a glass. MEB will officially launch Manggang Hilaw, a beer inspired by the Filipino green mango that finished first runner-up at The Brew King Philippines 2026.
A Birthday Beer Tradition
Limited-run beers have become a fixture at MEB’s anniversary parties.
The brewery introduced Passion Splash, a passion fruit ale, for its 10th anniversary, then brought back fan-favorite Space Queen IPA for its 11th.
Manggang Hilaw continues that run, this time with a competition podium finish already to its name.
MEB will also drop an exclusive collaboration with clothing and lifestyle brand Sports Paradise during the event.
Food, Art, and Ink
Over the past two years, MEB’s anniversaries have drawn local names such as Hungry Homies, Now Now, Rebel Bakehouse, Bombvinos Bodega, Ono Poke, and One World Deli.
This year’s food lineup features Now Now, Makan, Ta-Ka MNL, and Hungry Homies, with each preparing a dish made exclusively for the celebration.
Throughline Projects curates the Art Market, which showcases works from Ang Karatula, Dijan Comendador, Kultura K’ved, Luis Lopa, Mariana Valera, Raisehell, and Wham.
Guests can also get tattoos and piercings from Tattoo Nebula or grab souvenir shots at the Fotomania.mnl photobooth.
When Is the Happiest Hour?
Early arrivals get the best deal. The Happiest Hour returns from 2 to 3 PM, with MEB beers going for P50.
As with every MEB anniversary, entrance is free.
Founded in 2014, Monkey Eagle Brewery has turned its birthdays into a gathering point for the craft beer crowd and the independent creatives around it. Year 12 adds an award-winning beer to the party.
