What the PLDT High Speed Hitters Are Streaming During PVL On Tour

As the PVL On Tour 2026 brings volleyball to fans across the country, the PLDT High Speed Hitters are spending more time on the road than ever.

Between training sessions, long bus rides, flights, and nights at team hotels, downtime has become just as valuable as game time. One of the team’s favorite ways to recharge is by catching up on their favorite movies and series, turning travel days into the perfect opportunity for a binge-watch.

What the High Speed Hitters Are Watching

For many of them, the answer starts with House of the Dragon.

Savi DavisonMika ReyesMajoy Baron, and Jessey De Leon all named the fantasy drama among their current favorites, praising its storytelling, world-building, and the kind of cliffhangers that make it difficult to stop after just one episode.

For Reyes, the series quickly lived up to the hype.

“I honestly get the hype now! It’s one of those shows where you finish one episode and immediately want to watch the next. If you haven’t started it yet, this is your sign,” she said.

For Baron, House of the Dragon sparked her wanderlust after learning that some of Dragonstone’s scenes were filmed in Northern Spain.

Kianna Dy is also revisiting the world of Westeros while finally catching up on Euphoria.

“I think they’re both super binge-worthy, just in different ways,” Dy said. “Game of Thrones has everything: action, drama, and unexpected plot twists. Euphoria is completely different, but I love how it’s visually beautiful and tells such emotional stories.”

Another title that has made the team’s watchlist is The White Lotus. Mika Reyes, Kianna Dy, Jessey De Leon, and Alleiah Malaluan all said the series’ stunning locations have inspired them to add new destinations to their travel bucket lists.

Why Streaming Matters on the Road

Beyond entertainment, streaming has become part of the team’s travel routine, helping players relax, recharge, and feel a little closer to home.

“Streaming is my way to switch off and recharge, especially after training or while traveling,” Baron shared. “I usually watch while doing my leg recovery with my compression boots, so it helps me relax and keeps me entertained.”

Jessey De Leon echoed the same sentiment, saying that watching a few episodes before bed helps hotel rooms feel a little more like home during long road trips, while teammates often recommend new series and movies to one another.

Rookie Joan Monares also looks forward to downtime on the road, saying streaming helps make long trips feel less tiring.

“Ever since high school, we have been traveling to different places to play. As an athlete, I think it’s important for us to relax so we can get that rested feeling, especially when we are taking long hours on the road,” Monares said. “Personally, when I watch relatable shows, it gives me a sense of comfort, which makes traveling less stressful and overwhelming.”

For Davison, convenience is just as important as having something good to watch.

“As someone who loves streaming, it must be hassle-free,” she said. “HBO Max makes it so easy to binge my favorite shows whenever we travel for practices and games, especially with PVL On Tour coming up.”
