After long wait, Mark Nonoy signs two-year contract with Terrafirma
It took nearly three months after he was selected in the first round of the 2024 PBA Draft, but Mark Nonoy has finally been signed to a two-year contract by the team that drafted him, the Terrafirma Dyip, his agent Marvin Espiritu confirmed to ALL-STAR Magazine on Friday, October 11.
Nonoy spent his first UAAP season with UST, winning Rookie of the Year and helping the Growling Tigers make the Finals in 2019. He then moved to De La Salle University, helping the Green Archers win the championship in UAAP Season 86.
After his collegiate playing days, Nonoy signed with the Iloilo United Royals in the MPBL. Because he didn’t receive a release waiver from his team, he couldn’t play for Terrafirma in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Nonoy, the 10th overall pick, will make his PBA debut next conference.
