Goodbye, Benthings, Hello SDZYZ. TNC’s Farewell Video
In a shocking revelation today, TNC Pro Team announced the departure of Ben Maglaque, aka Benthings, from the team through a farewell video.
In Season 13 of the MPL Philippines, Benthings switched roles from roamer to head coach. During an interview with ALL-STAR in Season 13, he described their bottom finish that season as the most painful, even if they had been placing last for the past three seasons.
Benthings is currently looking for a team that will help him grow as a professional esports player for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
In the farewell video, Shemaiah “SDzyz” Chu can also be seen driving on the opposite lane of Benthings. SDZYZ played jungle for TNC in Season 9, which was the last time TNC competed in the playoffs of the MPL.
According to the video’s director, Ingrid Ignacio, the video was inspired by the Fast and the Furious.
“SDZYZ was once part of the Phoenix family, and super close nIya si Ben,” said Ignacio.
With roster rumors swirling on social media, teams are expected to announce their rosters soon.
