GDL Bros Sign with adidas, Strengthening Brand’s Basketball Push
Juan and Javi Gómez de Liaño have officially signed with adidas, marking a major milestone in their basketball careers and endorsement journeys. The two brothers will now represent the Three Stripes brand moving forward, though the exact length of their contracts has not been disclosed.
This signing signals adidas’ strong push into Philippine basketball, as the company continues to expand its influence both locally and internationally. Recently, adidas made waves by releasing a player edition shoe for Kevin Quiambao, one of the Philippines’ top basketball stars. This move demonstrates adidas’ commitment to spotlighting Filipino talent and growing its presence in the country’s basketball scene.
This isn’t the first time for Juan to rep the brand, as he used Hardens back during his MVP-winning senior campaign with UPIS in 2017.
While Juan and Javi have been linked with Nike in the past and had several notable partnerships — including Uniqlo Philippines, Milo, and McDonald’s — their move to adidas marks a fresh chapter. The brothers had recently been sneaker free agents, open to new endorsement opportunities. Their decision to sign with adidas aligns with the brand’s expanding footprint and strategic focus on basketball in the Philippines and beyond.
Adidas is not only investing in Juan and Javi but has also pledged support for their brothers — Joe, Jordi, and Jaime Gómez de Liaño — as they develop their own basketball careers. Although the siblings are not formally signed to adidas, the brand’s backing signals a broader effort to build strong ties with the entire Gómez de Liaño family.
Juan and Javi continue to build their professional basketball resumes. Juan played for the Seoul SK Knights in the Korean Basketball League until his release in May 2025, while Javi remains a standout player with the Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters and recently re-signed for the 2025–26 season. Sources have told me that Juan is considering applying for this year’s PBA Draft.
In addition to he Gómez de Liaño brothers, adidas is also represented by the likes of Arvin Tolentino, Nic Cabañero, SJ Belangel, Jacob Bayla, Patrick Sleat, Penny Estacio, Renzo Subido, Veejay Pre, and others. In the NBA they are highlighted by Anthony Edwards, arguably the league’s most charismatic young star.
For Juan and Javi, this partnership offers a powerful platform to grow their personal brands while continuing their basketball journeys.
