Guillian Quines, one of the top performers of the NCAA juniors division this year, has officially committed to De La Salle University (DLSU) to play in the UAAP. The 18-year-old guard from Benilde-La Salle Green Hills (LSGH) confirmed his decision following a standout run in NCAA Season 100.

Quines had a breakout campaign for the LSGH Greenies, averaging 27.3 points per game during the finals series. He turned in one of the best performances of the season in Game 2 against the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Junior Altas, exploding for 35 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to force a winner-take-all Game 3. Although LSGH fell short in the deciding game with a 101–67 loss, Quines’s play throughout the season established him as one of the premier prospects in the country.

Earlier in the playoffs, Quines showcased his clutch ability by scoring 28 points and delivering the game-winning shot that knocked out defending champions Colegio de San Juan de Letran Squires. His combination of scoring, leadership, and composure under pressure became the foundation of LSGH’s finals push.

Throughout the tournament, Quines impressed scouts and college programs alike with his ability to take over games offensively while also playing a key role on the boards. His size, instincts, and fearless scoring made him a top recruitment target heading into the college season.

In choosing DLSU, Quines stays within the Lasallian community where he began his basketball journey. The Green Archers are expected to benefit immediately from his ability to create shots, finish at the rim, and deliver in high-pressure situations.

Quines’s commitment adds depth to a DLSU roster already aiming to compete for championships in the UAAP. With his proven production at the high school level and a game built for the next level, expectations will be high as he steps onto the bigger stage.
