Quentin Millora-Brown made his return to the UP Fighting Maroons in their victory against the FEU Tamaraws, which snapped a two-game losing skid on November 16 at the FilOil Arena in San Juan.
He was absent in the team’s previous game against the DLSU Green Archers on November 10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum as he left the country and flew back home because of the passing of his Lolo, Angel.
Angel was a UP alumnus – the one who pushed the big man to represent the UP Fighting Maroons in UAAP basketball. The 6-foot-10 Fil-Am athlete shared that he is dedicating the remainder of this season to him.
“I think it’ll be amazing to be able to get the win. But as I’ve said before, it’s one game at a time, one practice at a time. We just have to keep improving,” he said.
The UP Fighting Maroons also lost against the NU Bulldogs on November 3 in blowout fashion. QMB shared that losses are heartbreaking for the team, but they get to learn from them.
“It’s always a heartbreak to lose a game that you put so much passion into. But it’s a part of the game, you just have to get better from it.”
He added, “There’s so much to draw from those games that will help us improve in the next two weeks as we get to the Final Four.”
