BREAKING: MPL PH Could Award Championship Rings in S17

Gen-Z jeweler Fairrie has entered the league as a major partner. Will MPL PH Championship Rings be awarded to Season 17’s champions?

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines has added a new name to its growing roster of partners ahead of Season 17: Fairrie.

While league officials have yet to disclose the full scope of the collaboration, the announcement has fueled speculation across the esports community that MPL PH could introduce championship rings for the first time.

Fairrie is a Multi-Awarded Gaming Jeweler

Fairrie is no stranger to the esports stage. The jewelry brand previously designed the championship rings awarded during the M6 World Championship in Malaysia. The campaign drew international recognition, earning awards at both The Drum Awards and the Marketing Events Awards for its creative execution and brand partnership in gaming.

Now that the brand has officially entered the MPL PH ecosystem, the question naturally follows: could the same treatment be coming to the Philippine league?

MPL PH has historically celebrated its champions through trophies, prize pools, and global qualifications. But it has not traditionally awarded championship rings in the same way many esports tournaments do. With Fairrie now onboard, however, the idea no longer feels far-fetched.

If rings were eventually introduced, they would mark a symbolic shift for the league. Physical championship jewelry has long been associated with legacy in traditional sports.

In esports, a championship rings is a personal reminder of a season’s triumph and a marker of prestige among players. Bringing that tradition into MPL PH would give Filipino champions a new way to commemorate their titles.

Championship Ring and the 10th Anniversary of MLBB

For now, league officials are keeping details close to the vest. Both MPL PH and Fairrie have teased a larger announcement scheduled for March 20, the opening day of Season 17.

That timing—coinciding with the 10th anniversary of MLBB—has only added to the curiosity surrounding what exactly the partnership will produce.

Fairrie’s arrival signals another step in the continued professionalization of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports in the Philippines. As the league grows in scale and prestige, so too do the ways it recognizes the players who rise to the top. ✨

And if a ring does end up on the finger of the next MPL PH champion, it may well mark the beginning of a new tradition in Filipino esports.
