Precious Momowei now ineligible for UAAP awards

UE Red Warriors’ strong FSA Precious Momowei has been ejected from their game against the UST Growling Tigers due to two unsportsmanlike fouls. Following this, he becomes ineligible for UAAP awards. Momowei was at the No. 2 spot for the MVP race entering this weekend. He is also suspended for his team’s next game against the Ateneo Blue Eagles on Wednesday, November 13.

Momowei’s first unsportsmanlike foul was called when he accidentally collided with Mo Tounkara. The second was when he hit Gelo Crisostomo using his elbow, resulting in Crisostomo’s head to bleed. The UE Red Warriors may still appeal to the UAAP Commissioners, and change the course of action.
