Sabrina Ionescu Will Inspire Filipino Hoopers in Asia Tour

WNBA Champion and Olympic gold medallist Sabrina Ionescu continues to be an icon and pioneer of women’s basketball. Also holding the title for most triple-doubles in NCAA history, she is set to rewrite history through her Asia Tour in March 2025.

Ahead of the WNBA season, Sabrina will go on her Asia Tour, from Manila to Guangzhou to Hong Kong, to empower other hoopers through her games and messages. 

“I’m excited to connect with basketball fans across Manila, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, especially young hoopers. You can feel their passion for the game, even from New York,” said Sabrina via Nike. “Together we will celebrate the game, and I hope we inspire each other to achieve our dreams with dedication, commitment and hard work.”

For her tour in Manila, Nike The Fort in BGC will hold a special panel talk with her fellow Nike athletes and coaches on March 10, 3 PM. They will discuss overcoming barriers and challenging stereotypes to empower hoopers to pursue their dreams. From March 6 onwards, Nike The Fort will also have the House of Sabrina, where you can customize your Nike shoes with inspiration from Sabrina’s designs. 

While in Manila, Sabrina will host a basketball clinic at The Courtyard, unveil the Nike Sabrina 2 collaboration, and participate in an exciting showcase featuring some of the Philippines’ top professional and collegiate players at the Big Dome.

On March 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Sabrina will experience how Filipino hoopers play the game through an exhibition game and a 3-point shootout challenge. Fans can register here to participate in the 2025 Sabrina Manila Tour: Craft the Future Showcase. Tickets to the show are free on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Sabrina will continue her tour to Guangzhou, China, to meet local athletes, host a basketball camp for girls, and inspire female hoopers through her messages. Concluding the tour in Hong Kong, China, she will participate in street basketball in a local neighborhood and visit two schools to teach them how to navigate through challenges in life and sport.
