Team Liquid PH Falls to MSC 2026 Lower Bracket
Defending champion Team Liquid PH suffered its first setback at the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2026 after falling to Türkiye’s Aurora Gaming, 0-2, sending the Filipino squad to the Group B Lower Bracket Quarterfinals.
The MSC title defense by Team Liquid PH got off to a shocking start as they found themselves one loss away from elimination, a far cry from their flawless championship run last year.
Aurora Gaming opened Game 1 with a sustain-heavy lineup, featuring Rosa’s mid-lane Rafaela against Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s Eudora.
The draft eventually paid off as Aurora secured all three Turtle objectives and built an overwhelming 18-1 kill score, dismantling Team Liquid in just 9 minutes.
Turkish representatives once again surprised Team Liquid in the draft, unleashing Sigibum’s Paquito in the gold lane to catch them off guard in Game 2.
Aurora continued to ride its early-game momentum, keeping a flawless 3-0 kill lead without conceding a single death until the top lane clash, where Sanji’s Zetian set up Fury of the Phoenix, allowing Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Arlott to secure a double kill.
Despite Team Liquid’s valiant defense, Türkiye continued applying pressure, locking onto the base crystal as Pagui’s Atlas found the perfect opening with a Flicker-Fatal Links combo to initiate the decisive teamfight during the 14-minute base siege.
Team Liquid falls to the Group B Lower Bracket Quarterfinals and will take on Entity 7 with its tournament life on the line.
