UAAP champion Mark Nonoy joins 2024 PBA Draft

Former De La Salle Green Archer and UAAP champion Mark Nonoy has submitted his application form to join the 2024 PBA Draft, he confirmed to ALL-STAR Magazine on Thursday, July 4.
The speedy 5-foot-8 spitfire spent his UAAP career with UST and La Salle then played with the Iloilo United Royals in the MPBL in preparation for his pro career.
Nonoy averaged 8 points a contest and was one of the league leaders in 3-point shooting in his final campaign with the Green Archers in their Season 86 quest to the title. His performance improved as the season went along and his shot-making proved consequential for La Salle in the Final Four.
The former UAAP Rookie of the Year has averaged 12 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.9 steals, and 21.5 minutes a game in 15 appearances with Iloilo, according to MPBL stats.
In addition to his shooting, Nonoy also stands out when pressure opposing ball-handlers, a part of his game which fit seamlessly in Topex Robinson’s fast-paced, physical system for La Salle.
Nonoy joins a loaded guard class for the draft, coming in with the likes of teammate Evan Nelle, Filipino-Canadian David Penney, Filipino-American Sedrick Barefield, Ateneo sniper Jared Brown, and a handful of others.
