Creamline Cool Smashers stays undefeated for the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference. In their fifth-set match win against the Cignal HD Spikers on Saturday, February 1, Bernadeth Pons scored the clutch, 15-9. Pons registered her game-high 29 points alongside her 14 excellent digs. Bea de Leon maintained her No. 3 Best Blocker spot, and Kyle Negrito is No. 2 Best Setter on the individual statistics leaderboard.

On the other side of the court are the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, currently 6th in the standings with five wins and four losses. With their many talented players, No. 6 Best Scorer Cess Robles, No. 7 Best Scorer and No. 7 Best Blocker Ara Galang, No. 9 Best Server Aby Maraño, and No. 10 Best Digger Jen Nierva top the individual statistics. Chery has won three of their last six games, struggling to keep a winning momentum alive as they lose their succeeding match after a victory. 

Creamline’s spotless record speaks for itself, backed by a long history of championships and dominance. But with Chery’s firepower in its lineup, can they finally shake things up and hand the powerhouse a rare defeat?

6:30PM Capital1 Solar Spikers vs. Cignal HD Spikers

Capital1 faced another loss against the Akari Chargers on Saturday, February 1. With their 1-7 stats, the Solar Spikers remained in the 11th spot on the standings. Roma Mae Doromal and Iris Tolenada maintained their No. 5 Best Digger and No. 7 Best Setter individual statistics, respectively. 

The Cignal HD Spikers have lost their last three of four games against the Top three teams, Petro Gazz Angels, Creamline Cool Smashers, and PLDT High Speed Hitters, putting them in the fourth spot. In their game against Creamline last Saturday, February 1, the 5-set match had viewers on the edge of their seats. After what seemed to be a clean third and fourth set win for Cignal, Creamline gritly returned to take the match win for the last set. 

Cignal’s roster comprises talented individuals such as No. 5 Best Scorer, No. 3 Best Receiver and No. 9 Best Server Vanie Gandler, No. 9 Best Blocker Jacqueline Acuña, No. 2 Best Server Judith Abil, No. 5 Best Server and No. 1 Best Setter Gel Cayuna, No. 1 Best Digger Dawn Macandili-Catindig

Both teams have suffered losses in their last two games, but it’s a matter of who will greatly come back and take the match’s victory.
