Andre Lumanag Transfers to Letran, Set For New Chapter
Andre Lumanag is set for a new chapter in his collegiate basketball career after transferring to the Letran Knights, a move confirmed by his manager Anthony Brodett of Phenom Sports Management.
The former San Sebastian College–Recoletos standout will transfer to Colegio de San Juan de Letran and begin residency during the 2026 season, making him eligible to suit up starting NCAA Season 103 in 2027 with three years of eligibility remaining.
Lumanag comes off a productive run with San Sebastian, where he steadily carved out a role as one of the Golden Stags’ more reliable perimeter scorers.
During NCAA Season 101 and the Filoil EcoOil Preseason earlier this year, he regularly put up impressive numbers, including a 19-point outing against Letran in the Filoil tournament and a 16-point performance against Mapua in NCAA play.
His offensive confidence, ability to score off the catch, and willingness to take big shots stood out on a rebuilding San Sebastian squad that leaned heavily on its young guards.
The transfer represents a significant pickup for Letran, one of the NCAA’s most tradition-rich programs.
The Knights are coming off a finals appearance and are known for their physical brand of basketball, defensive pressure, and guard-driven system under stud playmaker Titing Manalili.
With three years of eligibility beginning in 2027, Lumanag will have ample time to grow into a leadership role as older players cycle out.
If his upward trajectory continues, he could become a key rotation piece or more by the time he officially debuts in Season 103.
