Kelra: I want to be the Michael Jordan of MLBB
For years, Duane “Kelra” Pillas was the league’s most notorious personality—brash, loud, and unapologetically confident. He thrived on being the villain, a role he played to perfection. But in MPL Season 14, everything changed. Kelra stepped out of his villainous persona and into the spotlight as a different kind of champion, one who seeks more than victory—he seeks legacy.
In an exclusive interview during a boot camp raid by ALL-STAR, Kelra opened up about his deepest aspirations in esports.
“I had deep realizations,” Kelra said, reflecting on his transformation. “I used to trash talk because I was confident. I could back up my words with my gameplay. But now, it’s different. I don’t want that anymore,” Kelra told ALL-STAR.

Kelra has also found confidence not just in himself but in his teammates. In the past, he would usually outshine his team and serve as the carry, earning him the monicker, The Filipino Savage for his fast 5-man wipeout of the enemy team. Now, he’s taken the backseat and allows his teammates to shine.
This shift signals a new dynamic for Kelra. Instead of carrying the team from the start, his role has evolved: secure early objectives and take over in the late game.
Kelra Wants to be the Michael Jordan of MLBB Esports
His newfound mindset isn’t just about self-improvement. Kelra is driven by a desire to etch his name in esports history, akin to how Michael Jordan became synonymous with basketball. “What I’m after is the title and the legacy,” Kelra explained in Filipino. “The prize money is a bonus. Of course, I want the money, but my ultimate goal is to leave a legacy. Like how when people say NBA, they think Michael Jordan—when people say MLBB, I want them to think Kelra.”
This ambition stems from more than just a thirst for glory. Growing up, Kelra often felt underestimated in his hometown.
“A lot of people belittled me,” he admitted. “It’s not about proving them wrong, but proving to myself that when it comes to MLBB, I’m the name at the top.”
From controversial beginnings to his current quest for greatness, Kelra’s journey is far from over.
But with a vision as clear as his, it’s only a matter of time before Mobile Legends esports has its own Jordan—and his name is Kelra.
