Kelra’s Masterstroke: He Handpicked ONIC’s Roster
When you let Kelra build his team, winning results follow.
“Three of our current players were already on our radar since Season 11,” Tony Senedrin, aka Coach Ynot, shared with ALL-STAR.
For Coach Ynot and Kelra, assembling this roster was a long time coming. From the start, they had their eyes on K1ngKong and SuperFrince to join Kelra. So when the opportunity arose to unite the trio, they seized it without hesitation.
Tony personally chose Brusko, while Kelra handpicked Kirk, demonstrating their collaborative approach in forming the squad.
Brusko has since become one of Kelra’s closest friends in esports. The two, along with K1ngKong and SuperFrince, often hit the gym together. Occasionally, Kirk joins them. The only exception? SpiderMilez, who prefers to skip gym sessions.
When asked how crucial it was to build a team around Kelra, Coach Ynot explained:
“It was essential because, in Season 14, Kelra’s gameplay wasn’t as prominent. The strengths of his teammates took the spotlight, overshadowing the gold laner’s individual plays. This team setup highlighted the collective strength rather than relying solely on Kelra,” Ynot said.
This shift signals a new dynamic for Kelra. Instead of carrying the team from the start, his role has evolved: secure early objectives and take over in the late game.
Unlike his time with Omega, where Kelra often had to carry the entire team, ONIC’s current strategy allows him to shine when it matters most.
“Kelra’s clutch performance during the MPL-PH Season 14 Grand Finals showcased this perfectly. Even though he was limited in his hero selection, he delivered when it counted,” Coach Ynot said.
When you trust Kelra to build a team of his dreams, he doesn’t just create a roster—he builds a legacy.
