UAAP Rookie Profile: AJ Fransman of the Adamson Soaring Falcons
AJ Fransman is not new to the competitive scene, but the UAAP big crowd is something that he’s still getting used to. AJ said that people usually think he’s arrogant, but that’s not the truth as he can be quite bubbly too. He also shared the sentimental story behind his jersey number with ALL-STAR.
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
AJ: My name is AJ Fransman and I’m from San Pedro Laguna. My position sa Adamson ay Power Forward, Small Forward.
Q: And how old are you?
AJ: I’m 23.
Q: What about your height?
AJ: I’m 6’3? 6’2?
Q: What about your foot size and favorite shoes?
AJ: Foot size ko is size 13, and favorite kicks is Ja Morant and also Kyrie.
Q: Outside of basketball, what are your other hobbies?
AJ: I love playing games, video games.
Q: What games do you play?
AJ: Computer games and PS4 games, also mobile.
Q: Any fun fact or hidden talent you want to share to your fans?
AJ: A fun fact about me is kapag ‘di niyo ako kilala, para akong mayabang. Pero once na nakilla niyo na ako, sobrang kulit.
Q: Do you have a favorite song right now?
AJ: Most of them are just 21 Savage or Drake songs.
Q: Let’s talk a little bit about love. What is your ideal first date?
AJ: I don’t know eh. As long kasama ko ‘yong partner ko, kahit saan man mapunta, okay lang sa’kin, basta may quality time.
Q: Do you currently have a girlfriend?
AJ: Wala.
Q: Who are your inspirations in life?
AJ: Family ko tsaka mother ko rin.
Q: What’s your jersey number?
AJ: 27.
Q: Can you tell us the reason behind the number?
AJ: I wear 27 kasi, my mother actually passed away on December 27 when I was 5 years old. So, ‘yon na ‘yung ginagamit ko para everytime na naglalaro ako, gusto kong maremind sarili ko na naglalaro rin ako para sakanya.

AJ: LBJ!
Q: Which UAAP Team are you most excited to play against?
AJ: UP. Gusto ko ‘yung toughness nila. From first stringer to third stringer, gusto ko ‘yung toughness nila. La Salle and UP.
Q: Apart from yourself, who do you think might win Rookie of the Year?
AJ: Veejay Pre. Actually, sila ‘yung first game namin, and sa lahat ng nakita ko na recent match-up ko, siya ‘yung nakita ko na magaling. Machachalllenge talaga ako sakanya.
Q: If you’re a pizza topping, what would you be and why?
AJ: Bread crust na lang. Para iiwan nalang nila ako. ‘Di, joke lang.
