UAAP Rookie Profile: Tebol Garcia of the NU Bulldogs
Tebol Garcia has had excitement around his name since his high school years. Coming into the collegiate scene, Tebol shared that one of the schools he’s most excited to play against is his former team, Adamson. In this interview with ALL-STAR, Tebol also shared why he went from ‘24’ to ‘4’.
Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Tebol: My name is Justine Garcia, 5’11, point guard of National University and I’m from San Fernando, Pampanga.
Q: What’s your foot size and your favorite kicks?
Tebol: Size 11. For now, Adidas. ‘Yung Anthony Edwards.
Q: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be?
Tebol: Amazing.
Q: Outside of basketball, what are your other hobbies?
Tebol: Playing games.
Q: What games do you play?
Tebol: 8 ball pool, ML.
Q: Who is your favorite hero in ML?
Tebol: Miya.
Q: Any fun fact or hidden talent you want to share with your fans?
Tebol: Mag-TikTok.
Q: What song have you had on repeat?
Tebol: Kahit ano.

Tebol: Magsimba kami.
Q: Do you currently have a girlfriend?
Tebol: Yes.
Q: What’s your message for her?
Tebol: Nandito lang ako palagi para suportahan siya sa passion niya. I’m here lang palagi [para] sakanya.
Q: Who are your inspirations in life?
Tebol: My parents.
Q: What’s your jersey number?
Tebol: 4
Q: Any story behind that?
Tebol: Ngayon 4, pero favorite number ko talaga 24 kasi birthday ko. Ngayon sa NU, may number 24 na eh, so paraya, number 4 muna.
Q: Back to basketball talks, who is your GOAT?
Tebol: Kobe!
Q: Which UAAP Team are you most excited to go against?
Tebol: Ateneo, UP, La Salle kasi top schools eh. And Adamson din pala!
Q: Apart from yourself, who do you think might win Rookie of the Year?
Tebol: Syempre kababayan ko na si Veejay Pre. Nakikita ko na grabe improvement niya ngayon, and pinakita niya sa previous season. Kung maganda rin naman po maipapakita niya ngayong season, so be it, deserve niya ‘yon.
Q: If you’re a pizza topping, what would you be and why?
Tebol: Cheese, kasi popular.
