Aj’a Wilson Sells Her First Nike ‘A’One’ to a Young Fan
A’ja Wilson has joined Nike as one of its prominent figures—the second female hooper to receive a signature shoe. The two-time WNBA champion was present during the Nike A’One “Pink Aura” rollout, visiting a Foot Locker in her hometown.
Wilson excitedly stood behind the counter, ready to receive the community. To her surprise, a young fan was first in line to purchase her signature shoe, and she seemed ecstatic. Apart from gracing the Nike A’One release, she spearheaded basketball clinics “focused on inspiring and empowering young girls in partnership with city officials and volunteers.
“I just sold my first shoe, excuse me while I go cry,” she tweeted.
Wilson returned to her roots for the first stop of the Nike A’One Shoe Tour before visits to a Dick’s Sporting Goods in Los Vegas, NV (March 22, 2025) and Nike in Tamba, FL (April 3, 2025).
The Nike A’One “Pink Aura” took two years to create and is a testament to her game and personal journey. As arguably one of the league’s greatest, her first signature silhouette mirrors her dominance on the court through its cushioning, traction, support, and overall feel. The Cushlon ST2 foam works with a firmer base to combat explosive responsiveness and cushioned landings, with its reimagined traction pattern viable for precise movements.
Personal touches populate the shoe, such as the pearl-inspired midsole—a nod to the necklace Wilson’s grandmother gifted to her as a child—and “mom” and “dad” in Celtic symbols, whom she credits as the foundation of her success.
