Mark Nonoy remains unsigned in PBA, waiting for MPBL release

UAAP champion Mark Nonoy will have to wait for his PBA debut.

The 10th pick of the 2024 PBA Draft remains unsigned by his team Terrafirma because he still doesn’t have his release from his MPBL team, the Iloilo United Royals, according to agent Marvin Espiritu of Espiritu-Manotoc Basketball Management.

The veteran agent shared that Nonoy has a two-year contract offer ready from his mother team in the PBA, but he cannot sign this without a release from the MPBL franchise.

Nonoy played 19 games with the United Royals, averaging 12 points a contest.

The former De La Salle Green Archer’s camp was under the impression that Nonoy would have his release by now but they are still hopeful for an imminent resolution.

Terrafirma is playing their first game of the season against Converge on Wednesday, August 21.
