Smart Omega Has an Unexpected Message for Winless TNC
After securing the third playoff spot in MPL Philippines Season 14 on Sunday by defeating the winless TNC Pro Team, Smart Omega has a message for the Phoenixes.
“Nice game, TNC. Sana lagi niyo pang pag-igihan yung pangarap niyong makarating sa playoffs,” said Jaysoin Alupit, aka Uk1r, who plays Mid Laner for Smart Omega.
“Syempre devastating palagi yung loss ng TNC. Nakakalungkot kasi TNC ang previous team ko. Still, look up pa rin ako sa kanila,” he added.
(“Nice game, TNC. Keep working hard to achieve your dream of reaching the playoffs. Of course, it’s devastating for TNC to lose. I’m sad because TNC was my previous team, I still look up to them.”)
Coach Lembot has words of comfort for TNC.
“Ano lang siguro, trust the process lang talaga saka maging disiplinado,” said Lemuel Josh Lucban, aka Coach Lembot, Smart Omega’s technical and mechanical coach.

“Trust in God, maniwala lang sila sa Diyos. Wag niyong kalimutang may mga taong naniniwala pa rin sa inyo. Yung tiwala na iyon, suklian niyo ng gusto nila,” said Uk1r.
TNC Pro Team finished Week 6 with a 0-11 score, not winning a single series in Season 14. Out of the 25 games it played, it only won three.
Meanwhile, top seed Fnatic Onic Philippines remains undefeated with a score of 10-0 at the end of Week 6. In second place is Falcons AP BREN with 8-3 score, and Smart Omega with a 7-4 standing.
For the first time since Season 10, RSG is not in the top 4 at the end of Week 6, sitting in 6th place followed by Blacklist International in 7th place. Team Liquid (formerly ECHO), has also failed to secure the top 4 spots in Week 6, settling for 5th place behind Aurora, which is in 4th.
MPL Philippines Season 14 has only 2 weeks left in the regular season. Week 7 is going to be the most crucial week, with deciding matches eliminating any team within the bottom half of the standings. With significant changes in the point system this season, no one is safe as teams are pushed to close out a series in order to secure points.
