Malick Diouf Doesn’t Get Clearance to Play for TNT
TNT’s plans of bringing Malick Diouf as a temporary replacement import hit a snag ad the Tropang 5G failed to meet the 4:15 p.m, deadline, Sunday submission of the needed documents of their supposed reinforcement in lieu of the injured Bol Manute Bol.
Both the PBA Commissioner’s Office and TNT team manager Jojo Lastimosa confirmed that Diouf’s GAB license, FIBA LOC, and SWP (special work permit) were not submitted on time.
This left the Tropang 5G to play with an all-Filipino lineup against Meralco in Game 3.
Diouf, who attended TNT’s practice on Saturday, was chosen as an immediate replacement for the injured Bol, who suffered an Achilles injury, while the team is still searching for other prospects.
