TNT Tropang Giga will be without bruising big man Henry Galinato for at least a couple of games to begin their PBA Governors’ Cup campaign.
The former UP Fighting Maroon sprained his knee during a recent practice session and will be out a few weeks as he recovers from the injury, his agent Marvin Espiritu of Espiritu-Manotoc Basketball Management told ALL-STAR.
The Filipino-American, who looked noticeably leaner during the PBA’s opening ceremonies last Sunday, is expected to make a full recovery and still play this conference.
In his absence, TNT will need recently-signed rookie CJ Payawal to step up.
Galinato averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds in 14 minutes a contest last conference with the Tropang Giga.
TNT plays the first game of its schedule this season against Northport on Tuesday, August 20.
