Mur Alao hopes that Morayta will be the final stop in his college basketball journey.

The former Gilas youth standout confirmed to ALL-STAR Magazine that he will transfer to Sean Chambers’ FEU Tamaraws. The 6-foot-2 guard will have to do residency as a transferee and begin his three years of playing eligibility in green and gold in Season 88 (2025).

The former San Beda Red Cub initially committed to the DLSU Green Archers in 2022 but only saw action for the team in preseason leagues like Pinoyliga, D-League, and Filoil, plus other exhibition games.

Alao also previously played for the Gilas youth national team in the FIBA Asia U17 tournament held in Iran in 2022.

Alao did not make the line-up for La Salle in UAAP Seasons 85 and 86. He then moved to University of the East to play under head coach Jack Santiago, but lack of certainty in making the Red Warriors’ varsity program and the opportunity to shine in FEU persuaded him to move. He did not enroll at University of the East.

“Sobrang excited ko kasi alam ko na marami akong matututunan kay Coach Sean and sa buong coaching staff po, and at the same time po mag I will grow as a player. Sobrang ganda din po kasi ng vibes ng team and I’m all for it,” an excited Alao said in an exclusive interview.

Alao joins an impressive young core at FEU including the likes of Veejay Pre, Jedrick Daa, JR Pasaol, Adam Nakai, and Jayden Jones.
